Putin fuming as North Korean soldiers wreak havoc in Russian army

North Korean soldiers deployed to support Vladimir Putin’s army are reportedly sowing chaos on the battlefield, with Russian troops expressing fear that they could be shot by their own allies.

Last year, Pyongyang sent a contingent of 11,000 troops to help Moscow retake the Kursk region, parts of which remain under Ukrainian control following a surprise counteroffensive.

A leaked message from a private communication among Tuvan units claims that the North Korean troops have lost discipline and are behaving unpredictably.

“There are rumours in the unit that it’s not only scary to turn your back on them—you don’t even want to hand them weapons,” the message reads.

“Yes, they’ve boosted our manpower, but this has caused far more problems than expected. The so-called discipline of North Korea disappeared the moment Korean soldiers were given the slightest freedom,” it continues.

Since their deployment, Kim Jong-un’s forces have suffered heavy casualties, with around 4,000 North Korean troops reportedly killed or wounded, according to South Korean officials.
